My fascination with mail started at a young age with a field trip to the local post office. The mailbox soon became my favorite place to visit, checking the mail quickly grew to be my favorite time of day and the postal service workers were, and still are, my local heroes. Words traveling miles to get to another and seeing the personality of each sender through their handwriting plus chosen writing utensil; I’ve always seen handwritten mail as a much more deliberate act of communication than furiously typing with fingers and thumbs.
